Straddled in New Jersey is a suburb with highly rated schooling facilities. The place is part of an effort by municipalities to reinvigorate the area's economy through maritime activity, residential neighbourhoods and traditional downtowns. Originally inhabited by the Lenni Lenape, at around year 1000, agricultural activity lead to villages dotting the region. European settlement led to the migration of the Lenape westward later on. The place was to later derive its name from "New Aberdeen", a settlement in northwestern Monmouth County established by Quakers and Presbyterians in the 1680s. In 1693, the place was part of Middletown Township but this was considered too large and unwieldy and was broken down to create a new municipality. In 1977, the residents of what was now Matawan Township voted for a change in name to Aberdeen to create a community identity separate from Matawan Borough. This was in a bid to draw attention to the township as it is listed first alphabetically among New Jersey Municipalities. With efficient rail and road services, the place offers a proper reside away from the hustle and bustle of New York City while still providing easy access to it. With easy access through points such as the New York Penn Station, Bay Head and the Port Authority Bus Terminal, access to economic growth facilities is stress-free and quick. The family-friendly atmosphere of the place ensures a perfect placing to set up residence offering city facilities and activity as well as relaxed, laid back suburb living.
